Embroidery and thick bodywarmers

Postby Stiches » Wed Aug 08, 2012 8:17 am

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on embroidering thick garments. I've got to embroider a logo onto a very thick/padded bodywarmer on the breast area but my amaya machine is really struggling with it, it is getting thread breaks every 5-10 seconds or so, and the logo is not coming out very well either. When I first started it the embroidery it managed to break a needle so it hasn't been going well.

The garment is meant to be suitable for embroidery so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to successfully embroider this logo.

Thanks!

'Suitable for embroidery' probably means on a commercial machine rather than a domestic one.
