Deco 600 and Vista Question?????

Postby robin623 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 7:12 am

I have a question and hope you ladies can help me.

I have an Deco 600 Embroidery Machine. I had it loaded on my PC which ran Windows XP. It crashed last weekend so now my wife and I both have laptops that run Windows Vista. The Deco 600 ver 3 is not compatable with Vista. I ordered a connection to run from USB to Serial port so that I could hook up to my card reader but it's not reading it.

The embroidery machine runs great but not much use if I can't use it. Any suggestions or am I looking at getting a new Embroidery Machine?

Probably the easiest and cheapest option is to get rid of the nasty Vista! Everyone I know with Vista has had problems with it. I know of no sewing machine software that is compatible with it. Himself flattened the son's problem Vista machine and now it runs perfectly with XP.

I run a Windows XP partition on my Mac to run Windows only pattern drafting software.
