Fixing Tension

Postby heartsong » Wed May 07, 2014 7:57 pm

Hi everyone, I'm going to be getting a somewhat functional sewing machine from my mom. She says it's a singer and the only problem with it is the tension is off. I'll have it on Friday to test it out and figure just what the problem is. Does anyone have suggestion on what I may need to do. The machine is definitely over 10 years old and probably closer to 20 or more years old.

Ok thanks. It's been a while I know that. It's in a case but it hasn't seen much use in at least 10 plus years

I've done a Lot of maintenance work on old Singers. If you can provide the model number I can probably give you some guidance on cleaning and maintenance.

The model is 7057 I think. I know it's one of the 7000+ models. I have to look for the manual. I think I accidentally packed it away with some stuff when I was cleaning.
