sewing canvas and achieving attractive seams

Postby jmathis » Fri Apr 07, 2017 1:51 pm

Hello, I’m new to sewing and recently purchased a sailrite ultafeed LSZ-1 machine. Learning to sew has been a blast! I am working on some outdoor canvas projects. In sewing canvas I’m experiencing some ruffle type puckering in my seams that I would love to figure out how to eliminate and get a nice smooth seam. Please take a look at the photo attached and if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how I can accomplish a factory professional looking seam I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks Jack :D

Try lenghtening your stitch perhaps? Are you using a thickish thread?
