Need Help Sewing Neck and Underarm Curves

Hi sewing friends. I've made many attempts to fold and sew on curves around the neck and especially under the arm after I finish serging two pieces together. I usually tuck the arm area and sew. After the two sides are done, I serge. This doesn't give my garment a professional look because the beginning or end of the serge thread is exposed.

I've tried to fold and sew but the fabric buckles and doubles which doesn't look good. How can I perfect this so I can cut and sew successfully around these curves to give my clothing a professional look?

It sounds like you are just trying to turn the edge over and hem it rather than finishing it properly...

Another method of finishing curved edges is to use bias binding tape: http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tip ... as-binding You can use a contrast binding if you like.
