I am soon to get one of these on the bench for testing. Does anyone have any experience or advice?

This is the first time I'll be using a full embroidery machine. This one is embroidery only.

This is such a late response -- don't know if you'll see it. I rarely visit here anymore because of the lack of activity.

I have just purchased a 300e, the model below the 350e. You can find a lot of discussion over at www.patternreview.com. Go to the forum and under Sewing Machines, there is a continuing thread on these two models.
