I haven't been able to find the unequivocal answer, but looking at the stitch diagrams on the top of the machine and the sewn-out stitch samples on dealers' websites, I see nothing that looks like a 3-step zigzag. This surprises me because even basic family machines will sew that stitch. Hopefully, a 950 owner will chime in and clear up the confusion.
